Break out the eggnog. This year’s Cyber Five – the shopping days from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday – smashed holiday records. Cyber Monday sales topped $7.9 billion according to Adobe Analytics data, making it the single largest shopping day in U.S. history. Smartphones sales exceeded the $2 billion mark. Grossing $6.4 billion in sales, Cyber Saturday and Sunday set a new record as the biggest online shopping weekend in the U.S. Proof that the in-store experience is not dead (but is morphing), Buy Online, Pickup In-Store (BOPIS) over the weekend saw a record 50 percent increase over 2017.
